Urban+ were pleased to partner with Brisbane City Council to manufacture and supply the custom designed Day Bed for The Corso street upgrade at Seven Hills.
Designed by BCC Urban Designer, Alex Knowlman, the Day Bed incorporated a back rest at varying angles to allow people to use the seating in various ways.
The Day Bed was finished with a striking waterfall edge and provision for a light box and lighting to illuminate the Day Bed at night at a later stage.
The Day Bed was created using a galvanised steel sub frame and 90mm x 19mm Australian Hardwood. The innumerable intersecting mitred edges made the fabrication particularly challenging ensuring that all battens were consistently spaced without gaps.
