Urban Fountains and Furniture were excited to work in consultation with Eureka Landscaping on the manufacture of custom designed Tree Grates, Day Beds and a Coffee Table for Mode Park at North Lakes on Brisbane’s Northside. The furniture range was exclusively designed by Aecom Architects.
The Original tree grate design needed to be modified to increase the strength and integrity of the product. Working directly with the Architects, UrbanFF came up with a suitable alternative to the original design that did not compromise the strength of the grates but also blended well with other design features within the park.
The Contemporary Day Beds and coffee table were manufactured from laser cut steel. They measure 1800mm x 1800mm and weigh approximately 200kg each. During fabrication it was apparent that additional supports were needed to ensure that the day beds were able to support the timber cladding without bowing. Ensuring that all products manufactured by us, including our clients custom designs, are strong and durable enough to withstand heavy public use, is of paramount importance to UrbanFF.
